use tomtom one le with laptop

is it possible to use tomtom gps with laptop applications (i.e. use it as a gps for streets and trips)?

yes. exactly. however, i do not have bluetooth on my laptop... do you know of any way of doing this with the usb cable provided with the tomtom one. thanks

ok, thanks.. i borrow the BT adapter from a friend. everything works fine until i get to the hyperterminal part. after logging on with 'root' it asks for a password. not sure which password to use as it says one is not needed. regardless, it won't let me type anything in the password prompt (nothing happens when tpying or pressing enter).

could it be because iam running the newest tomtom software? version 7?

www.geeks.com has in the past offered GPS receivers that connect to a laptop via USB for something like $30-40. I don't know whether they still have any in stock.
