Unsupported Samsung working

I have a TomTom 730 and a Samsung Highlight 739. The Samsung is not supported by TomTom BUT it connected and worked. The phone, phonebook, message read were woking just fine. I noticed that the read/write button was available. So I tried sending a message. Problems started. Bluetooth would connect then disconnect constantly. Then I could not make calls at all. I tried numerous things to fix it without success. Last resort, turned the phone off and back on. Reconnected bluetooth. It worked. So, if you have a Samsung Highlight don't try to send a message. If your driving you don't need to be texting anyway.
