UK or Europe ????

Hi, I have a Pro 5150 Truck Europe
Im typing an address in Germany into my device and nothing is recognised.
Would anyone know if I need to be actually on the shores of the euro continent before my device will recognise a european address, or do I not have the european map installed on my device ? It says Europe on the box, so I would expect the euro map to be installed. Thanks

I have discovered that the Europe map is installed.The workaround is to scroll the map along and zoom into your destination, then click done and the device plans a route. Seems a long way round but at least it works. Thanks for your help

If you have an address, to plan a route to anywhere on your Europe map, in your Main Menu tap
Navigate to ... -->
Address -->

On the screen that asks to enter a city/postcode you will see a country flag on the top right hand side. It should show the Union Jack. Tap it and select the country in which you will select an address.

Proceed as usual by entering City <Enter>, Street Address <Enter> House number <Enter>.

Thanks Arno, but I have tried the Country Flag option, and the only two flags available are the UK an Vatican City

That is surprising as I thought the PRO 5150 and my GO Live 1535 use basically the same engine.
Maybe canderson can shed some light on this.

When I tap the country flag

I get to select a country.
When I tap the drop down arrow

I get a scrollable list with all countries available on the map.

5150 is a Nav3, so that's not an option.

If by any chance the OP has separate UK and WEurope maps loaded, he'll need to "Switch map" before he's going to see anything on the continent.

To the OP:
Select Settings / {left arrow} / Me and my device / About my device
What does it show for "Map:"?
Select Settings / {right arrow x 2} / Switch map
What maps are shown as available?

Hi Canderson, I have tried what you have suggested. On selecting the switch map button, the only option that comes up is "europe TRUCK" this tells me that the only map installed is a European map. Within the UK it works fine , but if I plot a route to lets say Berlin, it will not recognise the city. However, if I scroll along the map to Berlin, then tap the map at a certain point, the menu asks me if i would like to drive to this point. I click yes then it plans a route including ferries and tolls. Weird !

Hi all, I have solved the problem.
There was no problem apart from my dodgy eyes. I rang the support helpline 020 7387 5444 (0845 161 0009 does not work). After going through a few tests on the device with the operator, I realised that when the screen with the country flags aperas the United Kingdom and the Vatican City were the only two on the list. However, what I had not realised is that these two countries are the BOTTOM of the list. The screen had actually got the full list of European countries but opened up at the bottom. One would have thought the screen wouldh ave opened up at the top of the list. After many apologies to the operator on the end of the phone line, and feeling like a mad fool, I am now able to plot my desired root.
Many thanks to all that inputted on my silly and embarrassing mistake.
