Tweaking Startup and Shutdown Image

i have used paint on my computer to resize images, you can name them whatever you want, but save them as a 24bit bmp file and then just put them in the pic folder on your gps....then disconnect it and go though your options and pic the file you wan for what you want.... good luck

right now my start u is my brother and i by my friends Lamborghini, and my shut down is the Hubble deep field

Not necessarily. Only the most recent models have a facility to pick any picture as the start-up and shut-down images.

On older models, you have to rename the images to match the names the unit are expecting to have, i.e. startup(w).bmp, suspend(w).bmp or antitheft(w).bmp - the "w" being added if it is a widescreen model.
