Tweaking Voice prompt earlier ?

Calling Gurus ....
On a TomTom One V2 is it possible to tweak the voice promt earlier as it's a bit late some times (10M from the corner instead of 30M).
(Would prefer sometimes not look at the screen just hear the voice prompts.)

Is there any way of doing this - or is a map thing?

I have not seen a way to do it. Seems to be based on your speed approaching turns and map data.

I've noticed also that it seems to sometimes give you prompts about keeping left or right when it doesn't need to (i.e. it's obvious you need to stay on the motorway) and then never says a word when you actually need to take an exit that bears off in a "Y".

Not sure if this is a Teleatles map data thing or a TomTom software thing. But I always keep an eye on the map to be sure.
