Tomtom XXL IQ routes europe edition

Just bought one of these but it does not seem to support spoken street names which I thought it would do being a new model with 64M ram and 2G flash.

Is there any way around this?

I think TTS is included in that model bu tyou need a computer voice selected for the feature. When you go to Voice preferences, what choices are listed? Do any say 'computer' after the name?

Computer voices are shaded out in tomtom home and when I move the pointer over it, then it says not available on this model.

I just wondered why that was and if was possible with a different version of navcore

The UK editions of the original XL IQroutes do not come with TTS. Only the XL IQroutes2 supports TTS.
