TOMTOM voices good for all models?

Would anyone know if the TOMTOM voices are good for all models
of TOMTOM. The more expensive units have Text to Speech and
it made me wonder if all the models use the same voice.

I currently use TOMTOM on my PDA but was thinking of getting something
something dedicated to the car and wanted to take advantage of all
the voices I have collected.

That's what I noticed. I have to choose computer voice if I want text to speech.

Are there other computer voices available? I haven't checked the website yet so that's why I am asking.

Four come with the NA models, 2 female (1 US and 1 Brit) and 2 male (1 US and 1 Brit). There are other computer voices that can be dl from TomTom but they are not English speaking.

Can you use computer voices from older TomTom units that had TTS on newer ones with TTS? I used my grandfather's TomTom and I really liked the voice on his (it was a British woman), but that voice isn't on my 330S...

Hi,
New to this, got loads of voices on my pc to use on my Tomtom 1 v2, but for some reason when on my pc it says they are installed but when I try to use them they are not there? Would love to try out the voice of god one that I have got but it won't let me? Any help would be gratefully accepted, thanks in advance.

Can I put a non TTS voice on a TTS TOMTOM ?

Are the same FREE voices available for the TTS TOMTOM?

I use a PDA now but thinking about a dedicated for the car.
Stock TomTom voices won't do it for me and that could hold
me back from a TTS version.

Are maps the same for both versions?

Yep. Many non computer voices available from TomTom and others can be found on the net.
