When i was looking to update my maps by download, it did not show TomTom One LE, v4 or even new edition. So what would i look it up as?

What map version do you have on your unit now?

As to my other question (which I deleted when I read your post more carefully), hang on a few...

What are the first two alpha characters of the serial number on the bottom of your unit?

Well i bought it on ebay. Haven't received it yet, but the post says the model number is 4N00.005.

Let us know when you receive it. In order to download a map, the system must know the serial number of the unit.

The unit will come with a version of TomTom Home (the application you will use to update it), but it will probably be an old version. You might as well get the new one and have it loaded and ready. Available from TomTom here: TomTom, portable GPS car navigation systems

You should be able to update your map directly from that application.

The ONE LE is a "Limited Edition" version of the "One Second Edition". When purchasing maps, Tomtom treats it as a ONE second edition.
