TomTom Home 2.6

Hi,
I have just upgraded to TomTom Home 2.6, but cant get it to work..

I have the Icon in the system tray, right click check for updates or Start TOMTOM Home, but everytime i get the error:
HOME is already running, but not responding. To open a new window, you must first close the existing HOME process, or restart your system.

I have tried bit, i have uninstalled restarted, reinstalled restarted, but always get the same error.
Also it doesnt pick up my device. I have an HTC Touch Pro running Navigator 7.

If you have a pc, try going into task manager (Ctl-Alt-Delete) and see if any instances of Home are listed in either Applications or Processes.

If in Application, highlite and choose the 'end task' button. Does that help?
