go 720, go 61
hello there
I have a TomTom Go 61
It was supposed to have bluetooth hands free to make voice calls (please refer to https://download.tomtom.com/open/manuals/new_GO/refman/TomTom-GO-EU-RG-en-gb.pdf page 112).
This is clearly explained here , too

However, when I go to Settings, Bluetooth icon is NOT present.
I mean, the PND does have bluetooth functionalities, and I paired it with my Android phone, but it looks like it's just for TomTom traffic services, not for voice call.
Is it a known issue?
Any answer will be appreciated

If there was no Bluetooth option in settings as shown in that screen shot, how did you ever manage to pair it with your phone? That's where the "Add Phone" option resides.
???
You might want to consider performing a Factory Reset if there still isn't a BT icon present in the Settings menu screens.

Once paired, if your device supports it, you should see a phone button on the main screen.

Hi

GO 61 does not have a hands-free function so it is not possible to make or receive calls.

You can only connect your GO to Bluetooth functions to receive Tomtom services.

As I was supspecting. Thanks for confirming.
I know it's an old device however It's annoying because 61 belongs to GO line which, according to TomTom, does have hands- free capabilities, but this is not entirely true. Also, it's weird since the PND has vocal commands and a working microphone :)

you can add phone by setting up tomtom services -- once you pair a smartphone via bluetooth with BT tethering activated, the device connetcs to tomtom services and provides you with information about traffic. and BTW, on the smartphone settings, the device appears as "paired", not "connected" such as a bluetooth headsets

Interesting. Didn't the GO 60 have hands-free?

GO 60 does not have hands-free function.

You have to upgrade to Via 62 to have the hands-free function.

I assume that with upgrading you mean to replace the pnd, because no software updgrade will add hands free function, right?

On old GPS starting GO 61 no additional functions such as the hands-free option will be added by Tomtom.
