tomtom directions

hello all, first time post to this forum.

I'm using a tomtom go710 with recently updated maps and software. Is there any way to change the way it determines the directions? The tomtom always wants to make me end up on the right side of the street. In other words, if the destination is on the left side of the street when I arrive, the tomtom directions will want me to go down the road and do a u-turn or direct me to go out of my way so I end arriving with the destination on the right side. It definitely doesn't give me the "fastest" directions when this happens.

It's a known issue that TT's routing algorithms have a thing with 'no left turns' on certain maps.

Are you sure that the location where you can make a left turn is not considered blocked on the map or by a faulty mapshare correction?

Try zooming in on the map to a location where you have the restriction and make a map correction to try Change turn restrictions or perhaps, (Un)block street.
