Tom Tom 820 live hard to start up

My 820 Live Tom Tom is about six months old. It is no longer starting up when I turn on the ignition and trying to start up by pressing the on button is very slow. It takes about 20 seconds to start up manually. We have reset it and fully charged the battery. Any ideas?

Do you have the latest (12.055) build?

If the 830 is a new NAV3 model, does anyone thing the emergency recovery procedure (see "articles" section) would be a suitable suggestion here?

That might seem somewhat drastic. OTOH, if it were a Nav2 device, no question that re-installing the app would be a suggestion so you might be right.

I am not sure which number build it is? My husband has returned the Tom Tom to have them check it out. So I will keep you advised of the outcome. Thank you for your interest.
