streets no longer there

Hello i have a Tom Tom one and it worked fine until i did a software update as well as a map update. Before when i put in the post code it would also pull up all the streets relating to the post code and i simply tap the street and house number. Now when i put a post code it pulls cities and towns and not knowing the exact town or city or local area it is now difficult to navigate without going on to the internet putting the post code and finding the local post town.

Can anyone help to change the preference on how it displays a look up address?

Is it accepting a full postcode or just a partial postcode, for example what happens on the device when you enter:
FY43NN does it all go in and return the street "Kingsmede" or does it only accept "FY4" and then provides a long list of roads? - Mike
