Here's another solution,
go here: http://neilstyles.com/generator.php
and upload the picture you've downloaded from this site (it might require the image to be jpg format) and it will convert the image for you with correct size and file name.

that is a great tool. the x00 series worked for my ONE

(weird upload error, so using zip file)

The Dimension limits for this filetype are 620 x 280. We were unable to resize your file so you will need to do so manually and upload it again. Your file is currently 240 x 320.

OK, please forgive me for being a complete newbie, but I paged through all 10 pages & still can't figure out how to get a new splash screen on my ONE XL.

Can somebody please post step-by-step instructions for the clueless like me?

I have the TT1 3rd and I did all the steps I found for putting a custom splash pic on - still nothin

i resized the bmp and rotated etc....
just doesnt show up on my tt1


any ideas - is there a setting i need to tweak?

Not really, just needs to have the filename splash.bmp
