Routing through Dartford Tunnel

Good morning,

I use a GO Expert to drive a truck around the UK.

Based in Kent, I use the Dartford Tunnel often.

Suddenly this week my GO Expert has decided to not route me through the tunnel anymore. I have checked and double checked and triple checked my vehicle dimensions - nothing has changed. 10m long 2.55m wide 4.2m high. 26t gross 10t axle. I have also double and triple checked I haven't got it set to carrying hazardous goods, which I don't. I have also tried resetting the device and updating the device and map with no success.

What's going on here?

Just go through the tunnel and the GPS will catch up the other side. You have the choice to ignore the GPS.

Hello, I'm based in Kent and have been having the exact same issue since updating the TomTom, incredibly annoying. It's avoiding the tunnel because the 7.5t limit is being applied to all lanes. Mines also been crashing with a black screen several times since I updated in the past week. Not happy considering how much it costs.

Also just to add, if you can login to TomTom. You can report this via their MapShare. It's actually pretty quick and easy and the more reports the quicker they'll correct it. https://www.tomtom.com/mapshare/tools/new/mapshare/

Bigger problem that tomtom don't have proper support team where you could contact them and report issue

Hi, I am having the same problem, it's been fine for two years, and I use the Dartford crossing every day. It's trying to send me onto the M20 from Gillingham.

Totally agree!
Reported the serious error 4x.
After 3 months and 2 updates there is no changes.
Now I'm selling my device.

It is ridiculous!

I have exactly the same problem have contacted tom-tom they told me they would talk to their technical team and advise me of a solution or a fix. That was four weeks ago have heard nothing.
Useless.

Every few years tomtom put a 7.5 tonne weight restriction on both tunnels here. They are not very clever. As a workaround place a waypoint just north of where the tunnel roads join together again. You will get a warning of 'unsuitable road' but otherwise it will do the trick

Damn. That worked last time round. This time you have to pick one of the tunnels and put a waypoint in the middle of it. ... And the warning is 'route does not comply with vehicle profile'

We can't really help you, have you tried adding a waypoint as said in the message above.
Another solution is to send a map correction via this link https://www.tomtom.com/mapshare/tools/new/mapshare/#loc=0.00000,0.00000,2

You are in charge of the steering wheel so you can continue under the tunnel, the GPS will find the route after the tunnel.

Its just happened again on my latest update.. You can change the weight limit to 7.5t everytime you go thru the tunnel or add Canterbury Way (tunnel) as a way point or add a stop
