Renault Carminat transfering question

I wonder if anyone could help!!! I have a tomtom go live 820, which I purchased new last year. The tomtom came with free lifetime map updates as well. I have now purchased a new car which has Renault Carminat tomtom built into the car. The problem I have is that the maps are massively out of date, and what i was wondering was could the free map updates from my other tomtom (Go Live 820) which i havent used since I brought this car, is there anyway that I could transfer the map updates to this new device built into the car. I would purchase them, but unfortunately funds are permitting me at this time.

I don't believe a lifetime map subscription can be transferred between devices, sorry.
