Renault 2010 carminat problem updating

My Renault Kangoo 2010 has a carminat sat nav, I keep trying to update the maps on Tomtom home, I try to purchase the update and then load it but it doesn't respond, help anyone

Sorry I didn't spot this one when you posted it.

You may be able to enlighten me, but it was my impression that no new Carminat units had been developed for a couple of 'generations' of TomTom units, and all of them used an external card to update.
With that memory model, you may have been caught in the 'end of life' situation with this model. See here: https://uk.support.tomtom.com/app/topic/name/end-of-life

While the Carminat unit is not specifically mentioned in that list, it shares features with models that are included. I would call tech support there in the UK for clarification.
