Question about FM Transmitter...

I am new to the gps world and my tomtom but here is my question... Is the FM transmitter so that you can hear you tomtom through your radio. Now does this mean that I have to leave my radio on this station the entire time. Hence: I can't listen to music while driving becasue my tomtom is running thru the radio.

I guess I thought that once it was connected you could change radio stations and listen to your radio and when the tomtom gave directions the music would silence.... maybe I am asking for something that doesn't exist but this is what I was thinking...

Unfortunately you have to leave your radio on tuned to the frequency on the TT.

Another way to listen to your music is by downloading music to your TT (best bet is an external SD card).
