I just bought a Tom Tom 700 unit and it is working great in my car. I did notice that the software version on the unit was out of date so wanted to use the USB cable to connect the unit to my PC then backup and install the latest version. Well, when I connected the unit to the PC using the USB cable and turn it on, my Windows XP PC said the found it and set it up. In my device manager I can see the TomTom 700 listed so I know my computer can see it ok. My problem is that the set up disk that came with the 700 and the Tom Tom Home software will not detect the unit connected to my pc. I dont know what to do at this point. Can anyone suggest a way to resolve this issue? Thank you.
