The tomtom servers were down yesterday evening and this morning. It is a known issue with support. Hopefully it will be up soon. Keep trying, you now get a timed out error indicating that the tomtom server is having problems connecting to their computer.
 
I had no problem logging into my account (MyTomTom.com). Just seems the server delivering services is down.
