noisy sound in TOMTOM xl

HALLO, is it normal that we hear a sound (pippppp) when we switch tomtom xl on. in the car i donot hear it but when i switch it at home, i hear it clearly and it is noisy and disturbing. thanks in advance

Don't know that I have an answer for you but it might help to gather more information --

• Which TomTom XL model do you have?
• What version of the application are you running on the unit?
• Does it always happen or only in certain circumstances (TomTom devices boot in at least three different modes).
• Does your TomTom make other sounds normally?
