when I'm in an area that isn't listed as an address can I save that location in nav. to folder

You can save any location that you and your GPS can get to. the problem lies in the fact that you cannot navigate back to any location that is off a road by very much.

If you're in a mall parking lot and mark a business 100 yards from any road, the unit will point you to the nearest road when you want to go somewhere else. However if you want to go back to that mall parking lot business, it cannot define a route as there is no road to it.

If your home has a long driveway you cannot mark your house for the same reason. you have to mark the spot on the street in front of your home.
