"New Guy" question

Love this forum.... been reading and absorbing like a shameless sponge....

None-the-less, here is my "newbie" question:

I notice that my Go720 has an SD card slot on the bottom that is taped over with a tape saying "SD card not required" or something of that sort.

Granted that it may not be required --- can it still be used for anything??

If you want to add more POIs, MP3s, audio books or pictures you'll quickly run out of room on the internal memory, so you can use the additional SD card to load more content to the GPS.

You can use SDHC cards (SD also, but why bother...). I believe some forum members have gotten an 8 gb SDHC to work, but 4 gb is definitely OK.

Search the posts for threads on how to set them up on your device.

Also, backup your device before you do anything else.

The MP3 capability [sound quality,etc.] is great !!!

I've got a bunch of 2 & 4 GB cards loaded with music.

Use the audio output of TT and plug into AUX input
of vehicles head unit . Or, you can utilize the FM
tranny with so-so results.

Also, load a bunch of your girlfriend PIC's and impress
the fellas.

Might be dumb question, but...how do I add POI on to SD card and get it to work?

You add POI's to the map (i.e., North_America_2GB8.05)...so if you map is on the sd...just add it to the map file.
