Dumb question from the new guy!

Okay, just bought a used XXL & want to know what model I have. Went to the TomTom site & entered the first two digits of my sn (rx). It tells me it's a XXL 535 / XXL 540S 2G.

So, which is it, a 535 or 540S?

What's the difference between the two, if any?

Any way to find out the exact model from the unit itself or TomTom home?

I appreciate any help that can be provided, the TomTom models are a bit tough for me to figure out

I think the 540S model may have been a special model available only from one retailer such as Walmart or Radio Shack. These special versions sometimes have reduces software functionality.

I think the bottom line is the 2 models are equivalent.

Good news bad news. First, the good news. The 535 was sold only as the XXL535T at WalMart. The "T" is for lifetime traffic subscription.

The bad news .. well, it may be good news, too. You'll have to tell us. Did it come with a car adapter, and can you describe it to us? It may contain the traffic receiver!
