Navigater 6 adding POI

I have navigator 6 on cd and when I installed the maps on my ipaq 2490 it would not take the 1.4 gig file with the additional POI's They told me I could only install the smaller US/Canada maps with the smaller POI's, Is there any way of adding the additional POI's to my ipaq 2490?
