Map Compatability

Hi All,
I have a Go300 with UK only maps. My friend has a 910 with european maps.
I'm going to France soon, can I use his SD card with Euro maps in my 300?

No it will not has the maps are tied to the device

If you try it, you will be asked for an activation code. This would be possible to obtain using your friends product code, but only if he hasn't activated within the last 6 months.

(I'm a bit confused: you talk about using the sd card from a TT910. I thought the 910 had a hard drive.)

I understand the 910 does have a hard drive, but he said that
he had downloaded the Europe maps to his PC as a backup and their size was 1.55Gb. He suggested that he could copy them to an SD card but doesnt know if the TT300 will recognise them.

Of course, you will also be violating the EULA you agreed to and denying your friend the ability to reactivate his maps should something go wrong with his device...

Why not just borrow his 910?
