Live subscriptions.

Having been an owner of a Tom Tom which has given up the ghost after about 6 years I am looking at getting a new one.

I have seen ones which offer 1 year free 'live' subscription, but also see that this 'live' subscription costs ?80 a year.

If after a year I decide that I don't want to keep the 'live' subscription do I get a choice not to renew it or am I tied in?

There's no requirement to continue the subscription.
