Is there a minimum MicroSD speed/class for 740

I have searched on SD/microsd for speed requirments for placing maps on the microSD on my new 740. I found nothing. So sorry if this is a repost?

I foolish did not pay attention yesterday when i picked up a micro SD card for my 740 at Staples...it is a 8gb sandisk that is class2.

I want to place the newest map version 835 on an sd card since the 740 is "full" ?

will a class 2 card be too slow?

It indeed may be. I would suggest Class 4 as a minimum.

I got my map downloaded and it installed fine on the 740. I removed and returned the microsd card. class 2 is not worth keeping..I am going to another another one that is class 6.
