iPhone4 & TomTom

I use TomTom quite a bit round the UK v1.8.
My question is: will be driving in Germany in the near future will I get data charges?
should I turn data roaming off?
will TomTom work with GPS alone?
Does TomTom need data downloading whist driving?

Any help will be appreciated, Thank you

If you turn off the data roaming while abroad then the TomTom app will still work fine but you lose any of the Live services such as Google search, HD Traffic etc.

If you want to keep the Live services while on Mainland Europe and avoid a huge bill when you get back discuss an overseas data bolt on with your network provider, just one month would cover what you need - Mike
