How to migrate GO720 to a new laptop?

Hello,

I bought the TomTom GO720 last year when my laptop had Vista Ultimate as the Operating System. I have backed up all my data to a seperate disk. Now, I have a new laptop with Windows 7 running on it. How do I move my maps to this new platform? What directories do I need to copy to the Windows 7 system? I have US and Europe maps. My GO720 can have only one of the maps at any time. However, I do need to install it on the new laptop and get the updates to my GO720.

Any help appreciated. Thank you in advance.

If you made Explorer backups of your various maps before, then whatever folder you put them in should still apply.

For example, if the folder structure created was
c:\tomtom backups\
-maps\
--NA\
--Europe\

then that's the map structure that be retained.

Or, to put it another way...........use the same structure you had before.

In terms of Home. Just download and install Home on the new W7 machine.
