How do I tell if it's a 2012 edition car kit?

Hi all,

I'm loving my IPhone 4s TomTom app and thinking of purchasing the official car kit. I see some people have said there is a 2012 edition. How do I tell if it is the 2012 edition or not (the seller I may be purchasing from is not sure...)
