Hello. I am 34 and a father of 2 with my wonderful wife. I just received, about a week ago, a TomTom 720 as an early Christmas present from my wife. I would like to say thank you for the time and information posted here.

Welcome to the forums!

Before doing anything.......make an Explorer, not Home, backup of your unit's contents. Ensure hidden files/folders are showing.

Also, don't forget you have 30 days to take advantage of your Latest Map Guarantee,

When you DO update your firmware and map, make another full backup to a different folder.

Finally..........come back to come for help/assist/information or whatever.

And don't forget to give your wife a nice Christmas present in return!
