XL 340 TM Live, Go520,
Hi everyone please can you help me. My GO520 has recently started this annoying habit of resettting itself whilst in motion. It tries to restart and fails and then tries again up to 5 times until it succeeds. During this process it shows a blank screen or the world map. There are no drum noises.
It can happen on short drives or long drives many times, and it happens with or without a destination to target.
I have tried a drum reset, no change, and I have loaded a new map and deleted the old one, also no change.
It is up to date re software etc.
Is this unit dying or heat affected? maybe the next step is a factory reset?

All help appreciated.
Regards Geoff.

Hi

A factory reset can help.
You can try after disabling Mydrive synchronization on the device.
It is also possible that your battery is not sufficiently charged, so charge your GPS on a mains charger for smartphones.

+1 to Willy's comment about shutting off the cloud sync (use the "Stop syncing" button) being a possible work-around.
If you do have things you need to sync, let that happen, take your lumps with the one or two reboots that may happen, and then shut off sync. If that works to stop the reboots, do please report back to us as this seems to be an ongoing issue for a number of users.

Many thanks Willy and Canderson for your help and advice. I did not have syncing turned off so that was not the issue.
I believe it was a charging issue. The sun has been strong of late and the weather has been hot. I suspect that the unit has been getting overheated on the windscreen and then the device then suspends charging to protect the battery etc. I had hoped that driving with air cond. on would be enough but obviously not. Charging on a phone charger inside the house worked.
