downloading new maps [problem + solution]

Yesterday and I got latest 7.15 maps for Europe and was trying to download it via TT Home. The downloaded files was a zip with around 2GB in size.

Now what happened, the transfer went quick and smooth from the start until the file almost got completed (was 1,9GB at that time) and then transfer stopped and TT HOME returned network timeout problem.

Interesting part was that downloading that map via Firefox directly from TomTom website was completely fine.

This happened again and again and was 100% reproducible.

Now here's what happened. It looks like as some sort of race condition
between Home and installed antivirus software (latest nod32 av).

After Home received the whole file and was attempting to finish the transfer
(save the file to disk etc just as any other downloading software does) the antivirus software took over and started to scan the file. The scan took
a while (2gb zip file, antivirous told to scan within archives), so Home
thought there is no network data coming it as the file was still shown as being received, and just reported network timeout.

After I turned off antivirus the download and new map install went completely fine.

My system is WinXP SP2, TT Home latest, GO920 with latest firmware,
nod32 antivirus only (not the whole security suite) with latest patches
and updates.
