Device not charging - how to fix loose cable dock?

Hi, I have a TomTom VIA LIVE which no longer charges. When you wiggle the charging cable it sometimes switches on for a brief moment then the big 'red flat battery' of doom symbol appears and the device cuts out. Done all the obvious troubleshooting tests e.g. tried different charging cables and same thing happens though the cables charge other devices ok. Makes no difference whether charging from laptop, mains or in car. So I figure (but please advise otherwise) that the cable dock on the device is faulty. There were a few months there when I could wiggle the cable in the dock and it would eventually find a position where it connected long enough to charge the device, until it was moved again.

So my question please is, what is the best way to have this fixed and potential cost implications?Any other ideas? It is a few years old but in good nick so hopefully can avoid buying a new one.

You could google for 'satnav shops in UK' to see what you would be charged that way. Or, perhaps, look on a site such as eBay for parts for your device. BUT there are various LIVE versions. Identify your specific model using this link:

Thanks, the model is 4EJ41, the SN search comes up with these:

• Via LIVE 120, 2GB + micro-SDHC, MyDrive Connect

• Via LIVE 160, 2GB + SD 2GB, MyDrive Connect

I think it's the120 based on the slot size, a standard SD card wouldn't fit in there
