Brand New GO 630 User

Hello all,

I live in Alberta Canada (Edmonton).

I just got the 630 and I am enjoying it. I tried it out going to work. I was amazed how accurate it is on my trip in.

Just so you know, the 630 is my first GPS. So you could say I am a newb. One thing I noticed is that TomTom Home says my map is out of date and I cannot update it. Is that because I bought a refurbished unit?

Unfortunately, refurbs do not come with a 30-day LMG.

I don't know what version map you have but I can tell you that the 845 map does have significant changes for Canadian roads including many instances of Advanced Lane guidance and Reality View.

I wish I knew that BEFORE I bought it!

Anyway, is there a way to fix my location on the map. It has my address around the corner and down the block. BTW Google maps has it wrong as well.

UPDATE: For $10 more I returned my Refurb 630 and got a brand new one. AND I got the free update on my map (845)!
