Are the POI's not verified?

Just curious if the POI's are verified or not. Reason is most of the POI's I am using have spelling mistakes, the odd incorrect phone number but other than that it seems the locations of the POI's I use are in the correct locations.

For the most part they're not verified. Most POI's come from public records (i.e. phone book, etc.). That's one thing that I'm hoping Mapshare improves on.

We as individual users in our travels can make a great impact on the map accuracy and on poi's. While some say we're helping TT (which we are) the biggest benefactor of our efforts are each other.
