A couple basic questions

Is there a way to make the device turn on and off with the car so that I don't have to manually turn it on and off with the car?

Also, is there a way to permanently change the zoom level? It's zoomed in pretty close and I'd prefer it stay zoomed out one or two levels.

You can turn Auto Zoom off, at least on the 720. It was one of the first things I did. I just manually set my scale now.

As for powering off, I have my 720 set to power off when external power is removed, it's in the prefs. When I shut of my car, it gives me the "Shutting down in 5...4...3...2.." alert and then shuts itself off. I can't tell you if other TT models have this feature though. I don't have an answer for the power on though.
