920T refuses to turn on - Updated

I'm getting some real problems with my 920T.

Often it refuses to turn on. After several attempts of holding the reset button and on button it may turn on.
I then check the battery and it show's 100%
I charge for 3 hours just to be sure.
Then in the afternoon I go back to it and again it refuses to play.

I have spoken to TomTom directly and they have suggested re-install the app which I have done but did not work, they also said when it refuses to turn on, hold the reset for 30 seconds and then the on button for 10. this also doesn't work.

A second problem I'm getting is if I connect it to my computer and say yes to connect the screen goes blank and doesn't connect. If i then hit the reset button with it still wired in it will automatically connect to the computer when it come back up without me clicking yes.

Has anyone else experienced this yet.

It's not major as it usually comes on in the end but if I'm in London i need it to be working instantly.

Thanks for all your help.

I've seen reference to a Clear Flash tool that can be found on Tomtom's site.

I don't have a link at the moment. It apparently "cleans up" memory and NOT necessarily a SD or flash memory card.

If you happen to find it I'd be most appreciative :)

Still got the same problem.

My theory is that it might be happening when the TomTom is cold. Some sort of safety feature for the hardware.
I need to test this though but will report back when I have

Ok latest update.
Tomtom don't know what is up with my device so are creating a return for me.
I'm not sure if I should push for a straight replacement rather than repair.

Update - my TomTom been with them for 15 days

The device was sent back to TomTom.

They say i should get some kind of feed back within 10 days.

10 days later I had heard nothing.

Emailed them and got not a great reply.

Called them up and was informed that they were ordering a new part for the TomTom I sent back.

I mentioned how I need this for work and can they not just supply me with a new TomTom plus it being the most expensive one they sell.
I was told if I don't hear anything within the next week to call back.

I find this a little annoying as was expecting a slightly better response.
I also use TomTom at work. We have 200 devices running TomTom on them.

Anyone else having same experiences????

Recieved my TomTom back on Saturday.

The resolution was a new motherboard in the device.

They sent it back to me recorded next day before 12 :)
