720 N American map update problems

Attempting to update North American map the download time goes up, not down. Finally aborted when time reached over two hours. I'm not working wireless. I am hooked directly via cable. Shut down Internet for a few minutes. Also shut down and re-booted my computor. Still have the same problem. I've updated the North American map before and only took a few minutes. Any help most appreciated.

Could be server traffic. Also, have you changed firewall or antivirus settings?
