5250,6000 problem

I upgraded to a 5250 because I was fed up with my car Tomtom sending me down small roads when I was driving my 44ton 17m long articulated truck. Low and behold this model is doing exactly the same. It tried to send me down a street in London that was only just wide enough for a car. My friend has the 6000 and its doing the same to him. We both filled in the truck size screen perfectly but its operating like a car. Waste of money for both of us

May well be a map issue that needs to be reported. Watch to see if this occurs a lot, or only rarely on certain roads.
The TomTom "Bridge" unit, while pricey, seems to have the best truck support so far, but should be using the same map set.
