Hi everone. I'm new here and am probably going to ask an old question, but is there an economic way to repair the car windscreen mount for my 450 rider? I use my 450 on my bikes, but also in my car and I'm on my second mount now. At around 50 quid each, they aren't cheap! The ball has worn, although I did manage to dismantle and tighten it a bit, but then the suction cup has given up the ghost and no longer forms a vacuum, as it has torn where it fits into the unit.

Any ideas anyone, please?

@Willy875
That might help the droop, but not the suction problem.

@japhid
Can you provide a good photo of the suction cup and tear area so we can identify the extent and location of the tear?
It may be possible to use some RTV to seal it depending upon what we see.

Yeah, I'd already fixed that problem. The problem I'm asking about is the silicon rubber sucker no longer sealing and making a vacuum. Is there a way to change the sucker and if so, where do I buy one, please?

I will take a photo tomorrow and post it, but basically, the sucker has torn through to the centre. I tried filling it with superglue and it worked for a day or so, but the integrity of the silicon has gone and it needs a new sucker.

As a matter of interest, are there any other mounts that will hold the 400-550 range?
