2008 Xl

Just got a XL and it works and works well. I have hd it for a week and it hs got me to the local shopping center and back each time. I know it did it correctly as I would have followed the same path.

Seriously, except for a US Sheila telling me where to go I have no complaints. Trouble is the pronunciation of some of the Aborigine street names is a bit off. Well at least it is a bit of a laugh.

Great device has a lot going for it

The US voices don't do very well with US street names or towns either. Even common words like Road, Avenue are not pronounced correctly. I switched to the British female computer voice who seems to get things a bit closer.

Ok Where can I download an English computer voice? All I get in Home is US ones. Australian is closer to English than American

I mentioned in your other thread about selecting 'all', not 'default', in the computer voice screen of Home. Many more than the Aussie voice should appear.
