I’m led to believe that one can use the app offline thereby saving mobile data .

How can I do this?

In your phone settings for the application disable access to the mobile network.

For your information, if you deactivate access to the mobile network, you will no longer have Tomtom speed camera and traffic alerts.

The mobile data consumption is not very important.

Thanks! It’s best to keep camera alerts so I’ll certainly take your advice!

How much data do you use if your hotspot is connected to your tom-tom using on average 10 hours a day?

Source Tomtom.
On average, driving for one hour per day during peak hours will use around 7MB of data per month.
