No, HOME2 is used for older version (NAV 2 types) that include your
carminat.

MyDrive Connect is used on the newer versions like your GO Basic.

What is the difference between using with Tomtom Mydrive Connect and WIFI? for Go Basic ?

If you use WiFi you do not have to plug in the TomTom.
If you do not have a good connection, open MDC on your Computer and connect your GO via the USB cable.
