Hi again.
I finally stumbled around long enough to solve most of my problems.
Got the new version of TT Home (1.5.104) that let me update my TT One firmware to version 6.560.

Just one last issue......
When I try to set up TRAFFIC ALERTS, the USA is not one of the country options. GRrrrr..... It only lists EU countries.

Any suggestions on how to fix this?

Oh yeah.....
TT One New Edition firmware has been upgraded from 6.500 to 6.560
TT Home updated from version ?.???? to 1.5.104
USA and CANADA maps SDcard

THANKS AGAIN!:D

That's because it's not available in the US maybe?

Who knows........
The TT One is a great product but the support and documentation are crap.
I have TT Home 1.5 installed but the help system is still at ver 1.2.

On one of the help screens it has a graphic showing the "Home" window split into 3 sections labeled 1, 2, and 3 but then the text explanations below it use a, b, and c. I could almost laugh if it wasn't so sad.

Enough ranting.......
As far as I can tell, there are two "traffic" features available.
The TT One device has Traffic Plus -- a real time download of __current__ traffic conditions.
And the TT Home software has Traffic Alerts -- described as:...we will send an alert to your computer telling you about any problems on your (selected) route.
There is nothing anywhere -- TT, Home, or Web site that indicates this is an EU only feature so I assume it should work here in the US also.

Hopefully one of the gurus in this forum can answer the question.

The Traffic alerts has never worked for the States because it's not available.

However,
You can acess TT Traffic using HOME.
Just turn on your virtual TomTom and navigate to a ruote.
Go to the main menu and select Traffic and HOME will give you all the traffic info between your route.

Pedro,

I did the above ,but it says my "subscription has expired" , I thought Traffic was free if you connected via Home? , Did you subscribe or something to get it working?

No subcription needed.
All that you need is to go to the preference page and select edit TT PLus account.
Enter your email and password you would enter when visiting the offical website.

If all fails, you can email/call Support to reset your account.

Edit your TT plus accounting using Virtual TomTom.

EDIT:

Its ok I found it , after search on another for as to where it is , as I say , they dont make it easy..

Select your product, model etc.
Select the problem category from the drop down list.

Scroll down to the bottom of the page and you will see this:
