TomTom v5 re-install limitation

As an owner of a Treo 650 I've had to do a hard reboot to get my PDA working again. I recently upgrade from my 650 to a 680 and reinstalled my 3rd party SW. When I tried to reinstall my Navigator version 5 and I navigated to TomTom's web site for the activation key, it wouldn't give me one. I spoke with their CS and was informed that you only get three (3) re-installs and then you're out of luck. The only restrictions in the license agreement states that you're limited to installation on one (1) PC and one (1) navigation system. Doesn't sound right to limit the re-install, anyone encountered this situation.

Perhaps another call to support at 866-486-6866 and hopefully a second level or supervisor can help......
