TomTom in CarPlay binnacle

I’ve used TomTom in CarPlay for ages and it works very well. However today I noticed that Apple Maps will display its navigation in both the centre console screen and the binnacle display behind the steering wheel but I can’t get TomTom Go to do this. Does Tomtom need to add this feature or is it down to the car implementation?

I am fairly sure TomTom will need to add this, it works using Android TomTom in my car (Skoda) but not the iOS version of TomTom.

It would be very useful! My Honda Civic has a built-in Garmin system which did that very well when approaching a junction where you needed to turn. However the Garmin is now virtually unusable as the (admittedly useless) Traffic function no longer works in the UK, whereas TomTom's Traffic is excellent!
I did try Apple Maps but, like TomTom CarPlay, it doesn't display the next Turn in the instrument binnacle in my Honda.
I've used many satnav apps over the past 12 years or more. Each one had a few great features, but missed out many other features!
