I have the latest version of TomTom Home on both my home PC and my office PC. Recently it is taking about 60 minutes for Home to load on my office PC; at my home it takes just 10 seconds.

I've uninstalled and reinstalled Home on my office PC (Windows XP), but it still takes about an hour to load. In the meantime, other applications are starving for CPU, although Task Manager doesn't show that Home is getting much.

My office PC has 2 GB and 3 GHz, so it's more than adequate.

I've used Home on both machines for 3-4 years without (many) problems.

Could this be a problem due to my office's IT security settings?

I have a similar problem on a desktop at home so I don't think it is down to anything special with your office's security settings.

On mine, Home LOADS quickly enough, but as soon as you ask it to do anything (find an update or even just show the items on your computer) then it grabs about 95% CPU and takes about ten minutes just to show you the menu.

I've never found a fix for it.
