TomTom GPS chipsets

Does TomTom use the same GPS chipset in their 2500 series as in the 1500 series.

The only info I could find on their web site is as follows
GPS Highly sensitive GPS chipset Yes

Does anyone know the chip set model numbers?

Are they all the same?

I would guess they are the same, but I don't have any hard facts to back me up.
